This picture is one of my favorit.
I got it when I traveld to Pantanal, wich is a place, here in Brasil.
I remeber it was a great trip because we had the choice to see the nature and the animals. I really enjoyed it and I recommend people to go there.

When I got the foto, we were in the midle of the forest, with our vehicle jam into the water. We had to wait an other vehicle to come and get us, so we could see the sunset, and get some picture ;]

The last time I went to Arras

The last time I went to Arras was last January. I lived in Arras for five years but I left it three years ago. When I got back, I thought Arras had changed. Arras seemed to be more known. Some famous band gave concerts in Arras, which was really strange ( Muse, Depeche Mode… ). I have a house there, which is rented now, and I was kind of angry to see another family in my house and not mine. I moved three time in my life and I always wonder : How will it be if I get back ?

I might return to Arras at the end of the year. As I am older then at the time I left Arras, I might see it with other eyes.

The text called ''I am who I am'' is taken from the Daily Mirror publicated in December, 22 of 2003. That magazine is a British and popular newspaper whose pages are in a small-size format : a tabloid. It was lauched in 1903 and sells about 2 millions copies everyday. The article is about a person who won the Pop Idol despit that her apparence. The Pop Idol is a British TV series wich aim to find new singer stars : the ''pop idol''. Every week, candidates are selected by phone by the viewers, and eliminate the others, until the finalist singer, who become the winner of the serie.
Michelle McManus isn't a typical star, in fact, she weights 15 stones ( 1 stone = 6,35 kg) therefore her apparence isn't like most the most of the contemporary celebrities. However, she won the Pop idol : 10, 5 million people voted for her during the three-hour final watched by 12,1 million.The article show the way she was critisized and how she hited back. Michelle McManus also show the fact she accept her body, and that she won't fight to slim anymore.A part of the song she made are also showed in the article : "We've come a long way, I've waited a lifetime for today, everyone sais I was srong'', words which are so appropriated with the case.

Michelle vow she were going to win, and realise her promess. She won't be slimming again because she dealt with her apparence, she is'nt going to buckle to conform to any size. The new Pop Idol hited back at the critics which was made about her.

I think Michelle McManus is a person worthy of respect. She made a long way to become what she became. I appreciate how she hited back to all the critics she received. Michelle McManus didn't loose hope when everybody said she wasn't going to win. She just follow goes on and did win. I admire her.To have a new celebrity wich isn't like all the other, can be a bad things. Let's face the truth : Success is based more on image than talent.

What about you ? Are you sure you're not blind by the apparence of a star ?

Blandine made a post call "I miss you" witch draw my attention.

Well… What could I say ? I suppose we have to be accustomed of that way of living. It is really sad. We find a group of person we trully love, and then, have to leave them, and start again…

But let’s think in a positiv way. Isn’t it a chance ? We can visit news countrys, costums and people. Make very much friends all over the world ! Let’s profit the maximum!

(2) Carnival

Last week, it was the Carnival holiday. We had a few days to rest. I didn’t travel, but I met my friends, went shopping and indulged in my favorite past-times…
It was cool.

Here in Brasil, Carnival is a time to party. Every Samba school from the city parades with colorful costumes, and music ! Then everybody dances and laughs. For Brazlians, it is one of the best moments of the year .

The Brazilian Carnival has its origins in Portugal. There people used to throw water, eggs and flour on the others. That event had a was linked to freedom, and that feeling is still present in the Brazilian Carnival today.

Hey guys ! =)

My name is Paola, (I’d prefer you to call me Pao ). I’m 14 years old and I presently live in Brazil ! I’m in the 2nde2 of the French Lycée Pasteur in São Paulo. I’m French and Serbian. I was born in Lens, and I speak French, Portuguese and a little Spanish and English. I live with my parents, my little brother and my sister.

I love parties. I enjoy going out with my friends to the cinema, shopping… I enjoy spending my time on the net, updating my personal blog, playing RPG… writing stories, experiences, reading fantastic books, listening to music . I am fond of rock music, Placebo, System of a Down, Korn, French music : Louise Attaque, Saez, Noir Desir, Émilie Simon, Matmata … I’m fan of Japan Animation and Square-Enix. I think it’s work worthy of respect…
